Client Testimonial

Brad wrote about me on Yelp 😉

“I have trained at a bunch of other places – Equinox, Frank Shamrock’s MMA gym, and can honestly say that Kristina is a class above. She combines great theoretical knowledge with a rare practicality and I leave the studio drenched, smarter, and feeling great. I have lost 40 pounds so far (in no small part due to Kristina) and encourage everyone to check out what the “buzz” is about!”

Zig Zag

Well, my beauties, where do I start? So much has happened!

I guess I’ll just start by sharing a bit about my trip to the world famous OLYMPIA! I was very excited! I did NOT successfully get to gush effusively to Tanji Johnson (my favorite fitness competitor) but I did see plenty of eye candy (though none that seriously caught my eye, maybe I’m blind), and I was so excited to see all the famous fitness models! My favorite sightings were ...

Pom Review

Ryan from Pom was kind enough to send me a sample of Pom- the pomegranate juices in those cute curvaceous bottles.

pomegranate1

Pom is chok-ful of antioxidant power! Pom is a good post-workout drink because it has 34 g of sugar per 8 oz- those fast–digesting carbs you need after resistance training!

I made a post-workout shake with ½ a bottle of Pom, 1 scoop Isopure strawberry whey, a few frozen strawberries, a ...

Super Body Care Review

I first became acquainted with Super Body Care (SBC) when my boyfriend at the time would take jiu jitsu class and he would always come right home from class and immediately take a shower with SBC products. (You’re lucky I spared you from ACTUAL pics of people who have gotten staph. Go google it for ...

Fighting, Figure, Etc~

Sunday morning. Posted up at the gym with my computer, silence in the studio, cars in the street streaming by, sounds of traffic ebbing and flowing. I have about 10 minutes before my client comes. Can I knock out a synopsis of Life of Kristina? I’ll spare you the emotional piece, and focus for the most part on fitness.

One huge thing is that I joined a local fight gym and I am so in love with fighting. A few years ...

Most of You: Pull More, Push Less.

I came across this article on T-Nation the other day- a great site, might I say. I think the issue of contraction and mobility, particularly in the shoulder, is extremely relevant and significant because so many people EVERYWHERE deal with this. If not now, they will! Due to the extreme tightness in the pecs and lats due to extended computer activity, reading, hunching over, terrible posture, America’s obsession with bench pressing, and a whole variety of other factors- coupled ...

Time Management Reflection

My client just lent me a book called Fantastic Voyage by Ray Kurzweil and Terry Grossman. It was quite an odd yet interesting book about the science behind “radical life extension”- the point being extending your life long now so you can make it to the point where technology can assist us to live forever. Personally, I don’t know if I would WANT to live forever?! But, I read the book focusing on their recommendations of what promotes an outstanding ...

15 Tips for Accelerated Weight Loss

Want to shed weight fast? Here are some tips for accelerated weight loss. This is not necessarily a way to live 24/7, but they can help to get you over a hump if your weight loss is stalled, or if you *cough* come back from an Alaskan cruise and want to counteract the week of sitting on a boat coupled with multiple course meals at every glacier….

  1. Eat 3-5 oz of lean protein per meal.
  2. Increase meal frequency.
  3. Ditch processed foods.
  4. Ditch ...
