2014 is going to be a great year

I know this is a little overdue in posting, but I wanted to share with you guys some of my 2014 “promises” and what I’m doing now.

I’m ready to get back to competition this year, I want to dance more, explore new horizons, get a bit more out of my shell; it’s the revival of KRISTINA!

On the gym front, I have returned to powerlifting. I want to compete in June and break some more records, so I am training with Dan Green and getting back to hardcore strength training. Right now, I am currently around (a measly) 280 squat, 205 bench, and 325 deadlift. I want to go for some ambitious goals and aiming for around 325 squat??, 240 bench, and 410 deadlift????? I don’t know if these numbers are too ambitious, but I am going to work my ass off the next 5+ months to work for it.

Also on the gym front, I plan on getting back to the stage and competing in PHYSIQUE in August. I have done figure before, but feel that my body and training style is much more suited for physique. So, I’m training hard right now with a mix of powerlifting and bodybuilding days, and plan to start slowly dieting around may 1st.

Regarding dancing, in 2014 I would love to reach an advanced level of salsa dancing! As well as get down a fast amazing booty shaking Brazilian samba. This links in to travel, where I want to take two international trips this year- one in March to Argentina (and dabble in tango)(tickets are bought), and one to be determined (likely in fall), to somewhere where I can do tons of salsa dancing. Anyone interested in joining? Let me know!! 😉

Then, interpersonally/spiritually, I want to work this year on understanding myself more, accepting myself more, having great relationships with all, and open my heart to the joys of the universe. Love! Laugh! Dance! Be free! Be positive! Be the change! 😉

So, these are some of my commitments. I have a lot of work cut out for me this year, but they are all good things.

Yours with love, corny but funny jokes, chicken, and ridiculously heavy weight (that Dan calls “reasonable”),

Kristina
