Spinach Protein "Bread"

I decided to make some spinach protein “bread.” Decided I needed something crunchy and wanted to sneak in some vegetables 🙂

So I tweaked my previous recipe: high protein, low carb mock focaccia.

Here’s what I did:

Preheat oven to about 400 degrees. Spray a pan with non-stick spray. In a bowl, mix:

  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • into ½ cup 0% FAGE yogurt.
  • Add: 1 tbsp unprocessed bran
  • ½ cup Egg whites
  • 2 tbsp Italian seasoning mix + oregano + parsley + garlic + pepper

ACL Injuries and the Fitness Competitor

Interesting! I came across this article on bodysport.com and wanted to share it. I am highly interested in the intersection of functional training and figure/fitness training and will one day write a piece on this. For now, this is one of the only articles that I have seen that addresses something that concerns them both. As someone who has experienced an ACL tear and as a fitness professional passionate about functional training to stay healthy (see my post on ACL ...

Testimonial

Thank you, Omar!

“I highly recommend Kristina! She uses creative, effective exercises to make well-designed programs, and makes sure her clients are motivated and receive full attention. As a trainer and gym owner myself, in the industry for over ten years, I see a lot of terrible trainers out there. They are content with the status quo, and do cookie cutter workouts. Kristina is NOT that way. She is always on top of the latest information, and integrates that with classic ...

Beyond Crunches: 4 Core Exercises Off the Beaten Path

Hello ladies and gents!

I’m here today to share with you a few different and fun exercises for the core. Lovely readers: 1,000,000 million sit ups a day will NOT sculpt for you the sleek physique you strive for. Not only is excessive lumbar flexion not healthy (e.g. promotes kyphosis and/or possible lower back problem when in excess), but is also not very effective of an exercise in that tight abs come from low body fat which is NOT achieved by ...

Yes, I am a total protein powder whore. I just got a new protein powder in the mail that I ordered. But it is SO YUMMY that I have to tell you about it. No, this is not an affiliate link and I am not being compensated at all for this. Did they hear my prayers asking for a yummy peanut butter flavored protein powder?

Okay, so this is what happened. I was lazily scrolling through other’s Facebook stats update and ...

Client Testimonial

Thanks, Brendan!

“At long last a Yelp! from a wannabe foodie… about a fitness bootcamp…

I am completely amused by the fact that my first Yelp is about a fitness bootcamp, but I find it entirely appropriate because anyone in the area who is shelling out for a gym membership, personal training and classes so they can continue to enjoy their 11 course meals, should know about Kristina. She is that bad ass. Sure her degrees and certifications were ...
