Update & Invitation to My First Figure Competition!!!

Hello my loves! I am having a brief moment of energy and positivity so figured I’d take advantage of that to shoot out a blog post. Wow, there is SO MUCH I have neglected to keep you posted on! Bad blogger, BAD!

Thoughts run through my head of what I SHOULD have been sharing with you…my new-found love (and I mean obsessive delicious miraculous healthy mouthgasm) of macademia nut oil…any of my various weight training routines…any small regime changes I may ...

Keep Moving Forward: The Power of Thought

I could be distraught that I messed up on my diet, finally, and I can tell on the scale and in the way I look.  I could be distraught that the knee that I had two surgeries on has been giving me problems that I’ve been trying to temper through daily icing, fish oil, glucosamine, etc…I could be distraught by a lot of things. But since I have the power to control my thoughts, I have the power to determine ...

Figure Prep Update, Healthy Orange Chicken, Cauliflower Rice, & Gratitude

Hey peeps! I want to let you know at least weekly how my figure prep is going. So it’s time! This past week I didn’t lose any weight, which was somewhat concerning to me, as I only have (as of today) 9 weeks and 2 days left until my show! I have stayed consistently clean in my diet and following my trainer’s workout n supplement specifications…but my body seemed pretty much the same. Yesterday I checked in with her though, ...

Are You a Magic Seeker? ->By ChickenTuna

I. love. this. Great motivation! For me…and to spread to my clients! When they are quibbling about not seeing results after one workout and one clean meal…or people asking me about how effective L-Carnitine is or anything else…yet their diet is not 100%…I want to say “what’s the point??”…no supplement can counteract an inconsistent diet…Anyway, “ChickenTuna” has been a contributing member of BodySpace (associated with BodyBuilding.com) for many years now and her abs are more than memorable. Yes, I know ...

Letting Go

I have been reading The Wise Heart: A Guide to the Universal Teachings of Buddhist Philosophy by Jack Kornfield, and I want to share with you some passages from Chapter 16: “Suffering and Letting Go” that really struck me.

…A reporter once pressed the Dalai Lama about his opt-quoted statement that he does not hate the Chinese Communists, in spite of their systematic destruction of Tibet. In reply, the Dalai Lama explained, ...

Soulful Nutrition

I was browsing through a magazine tonight and read an article about heart health…But then there was this emotional piece that resonated with me.

“When it comes to food choices, habit is stupendously powerful. Our familiar foods give us comfort, reassurance, and a sense of identity. They are there for us when the world may not be. They can be our best friends, loyal and true. It does not take much effort or ...

Post-Thailand & First Official Jiu jitsu Tournament

It’s been two weeks and 6 days since I left Thailand.

I left Thailand and had a long layover in Korea, where I was privileged enough to explore some of Seoul with Adam of SEE Adam Train. 🙂

After that, next stop was California and I was surprised to not experience horrible culture shock, jet lag, or existential malaise upon arrival.

I felt remarkably refreshed and hopeful. The fast lifestyle and stress has slowly been creeping back into my life, but I ...

Exercise

As far as exercise has been concerned (of course I must start with the most important topic LOL), I have been unable to train in muay thai and jiu jitsu due to my toe healing. It was only recently that I started to feel comfortable enough to even box with it (e.g. have to be a bit light on the ...
