New Years on Phi Phi Island

:::written yesterday but couldn’t upload because internet wasn’t working:::

New Years on Phi Phi Island was great. It’s a small tropical island, with tiny little walkways jam packed with young people from all over the world. Flip flops, bikinis, sand, Ray Bans, little animals wandering around, sarongs for sale, peeps handing out flyers for the nightclubs, banana pancake stands, Australian accents, lithe bodies, and “paradise” may be words that describe the environment.

Another good, mellow-ish day

Morning’s resolution for the day: Only positive words come out of my mouth :) I radiate love and warmth! Focus on being the best me. Let go of the past to open myself up to new opportunities. Greet and embrace the world with an open heart. This is how I approach the world!

I also visited The Big Buddha, one of Phuket’s most important and revered landmarks (though still under construction). The Big Buddha sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills and is easily seen from miles around because it is about 148 feet high!

I arrived! Day One of Thailand

The trip over here was like 30 hours altogether from start to finish but thankfully it went by quickly and smoothly!

I am staying at a place called “Dream Village.” The owner, Tony, is an awesome guy (born and raised in Phuket) who has gone out of his way to help get me settled.

Others, such as The Fight Geek, have recommended I go with him, too, and I ...

Exercise

As far as exercise has been concerned (of course I must start with the most important topic LOL), I have been unable to train in muay thai and jiu jitsu due to my toe healing. It was only recently that I started to feel comfortable enough to even box with it (e.g. have to be ...
